August 6-8, Harrah’s Cherokee: Someone will win a World Series of Poker bracelet at the World Series of Poker Circuit Global Casino Championships.

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) has two Main Events. The annual Las Vegas poker orgasm that scars you for life, and the lesser known Main Event for the grinders.

The World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) Global Casino Championships takes place August 6-8. For the fifth successive year, the end of the WSOPC grind takes place at Harrah’s Cherokee, North Carolina. The winner will slip on a WSOP gold bracelet.

There will be 132 automatic qualifiers, 24 of which qualified offshore. These include, WSOPC Main Event winners, Casino Champions, and the Top 50 players in the WSOPC Leaderboard.

If you won a WSOPC gold ring during the 2018/19 season, then you can buy-in to the event for $10,000. Those in the WSOP Player of the Year Top 100 Leaderboard are also eligible to play for the price of ten-large.

The Global Casino Championships takes place during Harrah Cherokee’s third circuit of the season, and there will be a $1,700 buy-in Main Event, and a High Roller (buy-in pending) as well as the bracelet event.

Qualifiers will find $500 next to their pocket watches, three nights at the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort, plus an additional night for international players and final table incumbents.

There are four North American stops remaining of the current season.

Horseshoe Council Bluffs – March 28 – April 8
Harrah’s Cherokee – April 10-22
Horseshoe Tunica – April 25 – May 5
Harrah’s New Orleans – May 9 – 20

And two Internationally

Dusk till Dawn, Nottingham, UK – 31 March – 14 April
Le Croisette Casino Barriere, France – April 11 – 22
Casino De Marrakech – June 15 – 23

The event is rake-free, and the WSOP  will guarantee $1m in prize money.

Warren Sheaves won the 2017/18 Global Casino Championships, beating 127-entrants to take the $282,113 first prize with Keven Stammen (3rd) and Loni Harwood (5th) coming close. ​
